Margaret?

I have an awkward customer, I say customer but actually they have never bought anything. They come in once every few months, and ask for for something I don't have. I think it is a game, or the reenactment of the Margaret and Roy Sketches from Little Britain.

The general public, gotta love 'em

I have a few of those - my favourite though always askes for Liatris....I don't have the heart to say to her "never ever.....ever". Love that you went with the wildcard....hope it reaps huge rewards xx

That is so funny. You have given me my giggle for the morning. Yes we all have THOSE customers :)

LOL I have several customers like that, there is much amusement to be gained from the fact that my assistant is called 'Margaret' and spends a good deal of time above stairs, we enjoy nothing better than re enacting the aforementioned Little Britain sketch in a totally serious manner, customers are never sure if we are taking the mick or not and so have to remain civilised, good to watch them squirm!!

Oh Anonymous, where is your shop? It sounds like the most fun, do you have a pirate memory game for children between the ages of 4 and 8?

I have a small needlework shop in Croydon, my faithful Margaret takes in repairs hence the reason for being above stairs a great deal. I regularly read your blog, having stumbled across it by accident a coupel of months ago. I find it very entertaining. First time I have felt the need to butt in with a response!
